Benzie County Rural Task Force Meeting
Public Notice

A public hearing will be held at 10:00 A.M. on March 20th, 2009 at the Benzie County Road Commission office, 11318 Main St, Honor, Michigan, for the Benzie County Rural Task Force funding. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the future allocation of Federal Stimulus funds.

A public hearing was held at the Lake Township Hall, 5153 Scenic Hwy, Honor, Michigan at 10:00 a.m., February 11th, 2009 to consider removing the natural beauty road designation on Sutter Road, off M-22, in Lake Township. At the regular meeting of the Road Commissioners held on February 26th, 2009, the following motion was made:

Motion by Commissioner Griner, supported by Commissioner Rosa to revoke the Natural Beauty Road designation for a portion of Sutter Road, from the intersection of M-22 northeast .847 miles, leaving the remaining 1.863 miles designated as a Natural Beauty Road. Ayes: Nuske, Griner, and Rosa. Nays: None. – Motion carried. W. John Nuske Chairman

Further information and specifications may be obtained at the Road Commission office.  All proposals must be in sealed envelopes, plainly marked as to contents and the name of the bidder.  Telephone or faxed bids will not be accepted.

The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids, and to award the bid in a manner deemed in the best interests of Benzie County.
